Tandoori Hut

Food was ok. Had the kerala prawns, tandoori prawns and chicken madras for mains, lime and mango juice for drinks. Firstly food, not authentic Indian that’s for sure. The kerala prawns were alright but definitely not up to par of an actual Indian restaurant. Tandoori prawns were bland. Chicken madras was also ok, we asked to make the dishes spicy and they did which was good – staff are accommodating. Guys this is not authentic Indian food and nothing to rave about. And yes, the portion sizes are small, despite what the management have responded to the previous reviewer. The addition of the vegetables is to compensate for the lack of meat/prawns. Juices – watered down, was wondering when I saw the glasses – which were quite large, however taste was more water than juice. Prices are quite premium so would have expected the food to match this. Bill for 4 was LKR5050. The main point is it was average and paying $50AUD as well as reading the reviews on this site, I expected more, at least on the taste side. Still, this was better than Sub Bay and better atmosphere.
