I’ve been here twice now, it’s really close by so that’s more of the reason for coming here when I can’t be bothered making breakfast or craving dosas – which doesn’t have to be strictly a breakfast thing.
You place your order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. There’s two seating areas so went over to the one out back as it was a bit busy. Ordered the Mango Lassi, Pani Puri, Idli, Dosa and Uttapam and filter coffee. Alright, so let’s start with the Pani Puri. It’s pretty tasteless – the potato curry it comes with, not sure why they’re reducing on the spice, also it only comes with the flavoured water, they don’t include the tamarind chutney – which might have added a bit more taste to it. Idli was ok, but not that great either. The dosa I would recommend is the Kara Masala Dosa with ghee – that’s the best one I’ve tried from there so far, the spicy chutney inside the dosa is good and they cook the dosa with ghee which adds extra flavour – it makes up for the tasteless chutneys that’s included as a side. The Uttapam was alright as well, but as I mentioned, they need to improve their chutneys – they’re really bland. I will come back here only for the Kara Masala Dosa with ghee, it’s actually really tasty and filing.
