Ministry of Crab

I’ve been craving crabs and knew we’d finally get a good crab feast in Sri Lanka. I booked this 2 months in advance of our trip, probably not necessary but had to be sure we’d be making it here. We ordered two of the medium sized crab in chilli, kankun garlic, kade bread and chicken curry rice with one additional rice. For drinks had the lime soda and 3 Arrack cocktails. The crab was amazing, really good flavour and meat quantity was good too – would suggest going for medium as it fully takes in the flavour and isn’t hard or rubbery like the larger crabs, the meat is soft and flavoursome. The chicken curry was good too, but I wouldn’t order it personally as I came for the crabs (one person doesn’t eat crab, hence this selection). Kankun was delicious – get the one with garlic, the taste was really great and had a nice light gravy. Kade bread was also good. The Arrack cocktail we had here was the best I’ve tried so far in SL. I don’t know how they do it but it’s amazing. Total for 4 came to $50AUDpp, it is a bit pricy and overhyped, but the crab is good and I got what I came for!img_7031
