Sydney Madang

It would only be fitting to start with the restaurant that I visit most frequently. Hidden down an alley-way off Pitt Street and next to O Bal Tan BBQ. Needless to say I am obsessed with Korean food and this is my go to for spicy stir-fried pork. The flavour is just perfect. I like the pork a bit extra spicy so always request this. On this visit we also had the Bul Dak (spicy chicken with cheese and rice cake) that’s really great too but you might want to tell them to make it less spicy as it’s quite hot. Also tried the Ggan Poong Saewoo (deep fried king prawn in spicy sour sauce) number 90 on the menu. This goes great with the chicken to off set the spice levels as this is more sweeter. I’ve tried getting this for takeaway once – DON’T!! It doesn’t taste the same as they give you the prawns and sauce separately, definitely not the same taste!! Will never be doing that again. The seafood pancake is good too and tried the dumplings which are ok. The top two dishes are the stir-fried pork and bul-dak. This is so far the best Korean in Sydney CBD, especially when going out with large groups. Meal for 5 is usually $150 mark but this is adding a couple of sojus 🍶 geonbae!!
